HONESTY - INTEGRITY - EXPERIENCE
My Pledge to You!
I will be continue to be Honest in my abilities and communication to the residents. Transparency builds trust.
I will rely on my strong principles and personal code of ethics to bring Integrity and a positive environment for the residents when they are interacting with the Board.
I will use my vast Experience and knowledge in local government to look at the best way of doing business, not just accept the adage "It's always been done this way".
Delivering Results. Leading with Accountability.
When I first ran for Select Board, I made a simple promise: no empty words—just results.
Since then, I’ve delivered.
I pushed for stronger budget oversight, challenged unnecessary spending, and made budget discussions a permanent priority. Today, residents have greater transparency, access to financial information, and real oversight of how funds are spent.
I took action to modernize policies, strengthen accountability, and ensure our Town operates with integrity, not outdated practices. We now have improved legal representation, updated governance standards, and better protections for employees and residents alike.
I helped expand access and engagement; making Town information more accessible, increasing participation at meetings, and ensuring every voice has the opportunity to be heard.
And when challenges arose, I didn’t step back. I stepped up. From resolving complex leadership issues to addressing long-standing concerns, I focused on solutions that move Mansfield forward.
This work isn’t finished.
We are facing real financial challenges, and Mansfield needs experienced, steady leadership to navigate what comes next—protecting services, strengthening our economy, and continuing to build a more transparent and accountable government.
I’m running for re-election to keep delivering results for you. I will continue to represent all residents of Mansfield. I've continued to host listening sessions with various groups around Town. These are some of the hot topics that we discussed.
The Budget - Last year the Select Board presented two budgets to Town Meeting, a balanced budget and an override budget. The residents spoke loud and clear, they did not support the override at Town Meeting nor at the ballot. This year we are again facing a budget shortfall.
The residents have been talking about the following items:
Budget instability and volatility: Rising costs of local services: taxes, water, trash, impact on services
Our local economy - vacancies in the industrial park, why companies are going to other communities, Why Not Mansfield?
The Website - our website continues to be difficult to navigate, pages are cluttered with too much information
Changes in Town leadership
These are some of my initiatives that I would like to see to completion
The Budget - increased transparency and oversight on spending and transfers
Policies - working with Labor and Town Counsel in reviewing, updating and creating new policies that reduce risks to the voters and governmental overreach
The Website - make sure that our website is updated and incorporates Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, specifically for state and local governments. The requirements set Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 Level AA as the technical standard to ensure that all digital content is accessible to all community members.
Working cooperatively with the new administration teams of both the School and the Town.
